DIA food prices scrutinized

DIA food prices scrutinized

From the article:
DIA concessionaires are restricted contractually to adding 10% to the prices charged by non-airport businesses. But in fact, some airport vendors charged more than the 10% markup, and in paperwork filed with the airport, many concessionaires compared themselves to high-end restaurants and specialty shops, while delivering inferior quality.

For a small bottle of water, Pour La France at DIA is charging at least double the grocery store price.

"I wasn't going to pay $3.25 for a bottle of water," said New Hampshire traveler Mark Hilton, putting a bottle of Fiji water back on the shelf.
